The Big Latch On 2016 was held in New Zealand on the 5th and 6th of August, 2016. We had a total of 1,951 latches across 105 venues in Aotearoa.

Breastfeeding: A Key to Sustainable Development

In 2016 the World Breastfeeding Week theme was Breastfeeding: A Key to Sustainable Development. This theme worked to raise awareness of the links between breastfeeding and the Sustainable Development Goals.

This years logo featured a “triad” of two adults and an infant, which reinforces the importance of support. The proportions and forms between the two adults have been equalised to symbolise equity and the collaborative act of nurturing”.
